Balance Set Up Cheat Sheet
Hi Guys,
I wrote this step by step process to help for setting up for balances, since we have been doing the same steps each time, its just the actual balance technique that varies.
This is obviously customised to the way I like to do things, but you are more than welcome to take it and tweak it to suit you.
If anyone wants a prettier version, let me know and i can email it to you, as it wont let me put PDF or Word documents on this website.
Enjoy!

SETTING UP FOR THE BALANCE
1 | Ask if you have permission to test and if there is anything you should know today such as injuries, sore spots, recent surgeries etc.
2 | get everything "switched on" and working properly - correct any of these that unlock
clear circuit | turn preferred indicator muscle on and off
turn supraspinatus (fig leaf) on and off
switches | client holds points for up/down, left/right and front/back
central meridian up down up | brush up - lock, brush down - unlock, brush back up - lock
dehydration | pinch hand
ionisation | breath in L, out R, in R, out L
SETTING UP OUR GOAL | ||
1 | Talk to the client about the goal, and get the goal into SMART format
use positive language - eg what can the client not do that they would like to be able to?
2 | Write the goal down | |
3 | Ask the client to say the goal out loud and test supraspinatus (fig leaf)
we want an unlock to show it is a stressful goal
if it doesn’t unlock, try a different goal
4 | SET UP YES/NO MODE | |
" I am now testing for yes or no"
"Show me 100% yes" | test should lock
"Anything other than 100% yes is a no" | test should unlock
5 | ask "is this the best goal for right now?"
if lock = yes - move on | ||
if unlock = no | ||
something to add | if lock = yes - add something to the goal
change | if lock = yes - change something about the goal
delete | if lock = yes - take something away from the goal
6 | ask again "is this the best goal for right now?"
if lock = yes - move on | ||
if unlock = no - see above
TALKING THROUGH THE GOAL AND FINDING THE PRIORITY ISSUE
1 | discuss issues with goal with client
write them down in a list
3 | say " is x the priorty issue for this goal?" (remember, we are still in yes/no mode from above)
move down list until you get a lock for yes - this is your priority issue
FINDING THE EMOTION | ||
1 | SET UP STRESS MODE | |
" I am now using this muscle as a stress indicator "
2 | Find the emotion with supraspinatus (fig leaf)
3 | Hold ESR points and ask client what this means to them in relation to the goal and the priority issue
PRE-TESTS | ||
1 | Test and record thymus life energy towards the goal (with preferred indicator muscle)
" I am now testing for yes or no"
"Show me 100% yes" | test should lock
"Anything other than 100% yes is a no" | test should unlock
"the life energy towards this goal is AT LEAST 50%"
locks - go up | ||
unlocks, go down | ||
life energy is the highest number at which it locks
2 | Test and record stress towards the goal
"the stress towards this goal is AT LEAST 50%"
locks - go up | ||
unlocks, go down | ||
stress is the highest number at which it locks
3 | Talk to the client about how they feel and write down any pain rating out of 10 (10 is the worst)
4 | Write down any of these that unlock - do NOT correct them (these are used to show us and the client the improvement later on)
gait | touch points on foot
auricular | client turns head left/far left, right/far right
visuals | client looks left/right. Up/down, near/far and "a bit further"
cross crawl | touching opposite hand to opposite leg (bent limbs)
PRE-ACTIVITIES | ||
1 | Come up with some activities the client would LIKE to be able to do
eg visualising an achievement, jumping out of bed, speaking confidently to a room of people etc.
2 | Have the client visualise or do the activity and record those that unlock
PERFORM WHICHEVER BALANCE YOU HAVE CHOSEN
1 | eg sound balance, colour balance, Yin fix as you go, etc.
CHECKING THE RESULTS | ||
1 | Ask the client to say the goal out loud and test supraspinatus (fig leaf)
we want a lock to show the stress around the goal has cleared
2 | Check the emotion is clear with supraspinatus (fig leaf)
we want a lock to show the stress around the goal has cleared
3 | Re-assess thymus life energy and stress towards the goal - pointing out any changes
4 | Re-check any pretests that unlocked before to show they are now corrected
5 | Re-do the pre-activities and show that they can now be done without stress
ALL DONE! |

Great work Leanne!
If you can all wait until BKP106 we will give you all an official protocol to follow. It's similar to this one plus a lot more important info that we haven't taught you yet.
Keep up the great work!

Thanks Nicole
Haha ok I can see we may have jumped the gun a bit - I was just really struggling to remember what to do during my practices!
Will be patient for 106
